ABOUT THE CHEF
Having won the most-watched Masterchef: The Professionals series in history, Alex Webb has swiftly become critically acclaimed for his creative flair and unique presentation, rooted in his mantra that “food should be an experience.” With a fierce passion for seasonal, British produce, Webb's food draws its inspiration from his childhood and travels.
Classically trained, the 25-year-old Alex demonstrated a maturity beyond his years throughout the Masterchef competition. Judge Marcus Wareing praised his 'thirst for knowledge' and each of Alex’s plates showcased a "theatrical quality" that balanced style and substance, making his food both visually stunning and delicious and despite being the youngest finalist, Alex brought an unparalled wealth of experience.
After starting out as a dishwasher in his local restaurant at the tender age of 14, Alex's stratospheric rise saw him hone his skills in prestigious London restaurants, including The Savoy, Hélène Darroze at The Connaught, Dinner by Heston, Roux at Parliament Square, and The Frog in Hoxton.
Since his Masterchef victory, Alex has developed exclusive menus for private dinners and a luxury hotel in the Maldives. He has collaborated with Disney to launch their new entertainment brand, 'Star,' and taken up residency at London's Number One Park Lane Terrace.
Webb joins table&candle as a preamble to launching his own restaurant later this year, marking an exciting new chapter in his culinary career.
